Kentucky Speedway - Cincinnati SCCA - 07.20.03
Randy Ryan places 2nd in STS!
What a day! There were two heats. The first heat had five runs and the second heat consisted of only three. Randy DNF'd on his first three runs. There were a few tricky gates at this event. There was a gate on the exit of a long left hand sweeper towards the finish. He kept running to the outside when he needed to stay inside. On the fourth run he got his best time however ate a cone. With combined times he still finished in second Place. First place went to an Impreza. The picture above is form the Kentucky Speedway Event.
Quotes of the day - "You (Randy) make it look so easy, so smooth", a driver's girlfriend and from the Impreza STS winner, "He is the best Focus driver I have seen."

Cincinnati Sports Car Club - 07.14.03
We placed third in STS with the Cincinnati Sports Car Club. Took the trophy with pride. Quote from the Solo Chair, "In a Focus, Very Impressive"! more to come...

OVR SCCA - 06.22.03
First race back and we got 12th out of 32 STS drivers. We are doing okay with that finish after finding out that some of the drivers where Honda Engineers. more to come...

Randy Ryan to Race in Columbus Ohio - 06.22.03
We got rid of everything last year (parts), except our H&R Stage 3 Springs and Fallkin Azensis Tires. They were strapped on this week to run in Columbus Ohio. At preregistration there were 123 cars entered. There are 21 in STS. We will let you know the results after our return!

Randy Ryan Races Cincinnati
Even though Randy decided to retire for the 2002 season and returned the TeamFocus back to stock, he still craved the need for speed. After relocating to Cincinnati, Ohio, he went online and to his amazement there were choices of Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Louisville.
Randy found a race locally in Cincinnati with the Cincinnati Sport Car Club (not affiliated w/ SCCA). Remember the FocusZX3 is back to stock except the Falkin Azenis tires. He shows up and notes only a few entries in HS. The desicion made was to run STS.
A long story short for our readers is Randy has been off all year, running on tires never tested, and finished 2nd just behind a Impreza (4wd). What a day it was! The local folk were at least not too happy that he walked in and took their trophies.
Congratulations Randy on a 2nd place finish!
